UAE’s Minister of State for Foreign Trade, Dr Thani bin Ahmed Al Zeyoudi, announced the introduction of green visas for immigrants who will not be working for any companies and are able to sponsor and travel with their parents and children up to the age of 25.

UAE Green Visa can be renewed within 90 to 180 days after expiration, instead of the traditional 30 days.

UAE Green Visas are not linked to employment, so if the holder loses their job, their status will not be affected.

People who work independently were also offered freelance visas. As a part of its 50th anniversary celebration this year, the UAE has launched a national cultural campaign, the Year of the 50th.
